A unique exposition of publishers from Moscow, Russia will be introduced at the 24th Turin International Book Fair (May 12-16, 2011), where Russia is the Guest of Honor.

The Publishing programs of the Moscow Government have been prepared by The Department of Mass Media and Advertising of Moscow and have been realizing for 19 years already. Nearly 200 publishing houses take part in the program. More than 600 books and multimedia projects have been released, and  general circulation exceeds 5 million copies. The main goal of the Publishing programs is to facilitate publication of different titles about Moscow, its culture and social life, and science. As the sponsor of the program, the Moscow Government encourages socially important artistic and scientific issues.

The Moscow Government’s diverse exposition is sorted by theme for systematization and convenience of visitors.    Among the series are “History of Moscow from Ancient Times to the Present” ; “Military literature about Moscow and Russia”; and “Monuments and Memorial Places of Moscow”.

According to the tradition of International Book Fairs, all the issues from the exposition will be given to the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Turin, Italy.

“Book Industry” Magazine received the results of traditional New Year survey “The Cream-2010”, which was carried among the largest Russian book publishers and book sellers. According to initial data the 23rd MIBF is on the first place in nomination “Trade Enterprise”. In the first issue of “Book Industry” which will be published on February 2011 all six nominations of the poll will be mentioned. It’s interesting that according to specialist MIBF was the most effective book exhibition/fair of all. General Directorate of Book Exhibitions and Fairs can be proud of its labour victory.

Russia is the Guest of Honour on the 24th Turin International Book Fair.The invtation from the organizators was accepted by Russia.International forum will take place on May 12-16, 2011 in the capital of Italian region Piedmont. The participation in it will become a noticeable landmark of the Year of Russian culture and Russian language in Italy.

General Directorate of Book Exhibition and Fairs SE stated to get ready to the National exposition of Russian Federation on the 18th Minsk International Book Fair.It will take place on February 9-13,2011 in "Belexpo" international exhibition center in the capital of Belarus Respublic.
