RUSSIAN BOOKS FOR CHILDREN
“New books for children in Russia: topics, problems, solutions” was the name given by the Organizing Committee of Russian Federation National stand to the meeting of Russian authors with foreign editors and readers, stated in the program of the 63rd Frankfurt book fair for October 12, 2011.
The creators of childhood reading will take part in discussion of problems of modern literature for children: an author of more than 30 books for teenagers, a journalist and a scriptwriter Elena Usacheva and Boris Minaev, the author of a nostalgic story “Lieva’s childhood” (which received a National children’s literature award “Cherished dream” in 2008).

RUSSIA WILL BECOME A GUEST OF HONOUR AT BOOKEXPO AMERICA-2012
ReadRussia! is the name of Russian programme at Bookexpo America-2012 that will take place in June, 2012. In September, 2011 the group of American publishers will come to the 24th Moscow International Book Fair where they will negotiate with Russian publishers. The deputy head of Federal Agency for press and Mass Communications Vladimir Grigorjev said at press-conference that work has been already started and in 2012 Russian publishers will take an active part in the fair. "It's time to make a close contact with American partners", - he said.
Organising Committee of ReadRussia! supposes to gather in New-York Russian publishers, writers, book sellers,librarians and translators. They will take part in professional events and meetings with readers, not only at the Fair, but also in bookshops. On Grigorjev's opinion "Russian publishers will be interested in American business models that allow publishing houses to survive in the age at digital revolution".
